Spot: explore the best places App Reviews

I downloaded this app hoping to find some cool local places. I live in a medium-sized university city and there are no "spots" in my city (there should be, considering the population). I could only find spots in huge metropolitan cities. Ill keep the app for when I travel but its not the greatest.

I have been using spot for local discovery and am really enjoying the app. It is also a nice way to connect with friends to see what spots they like/recommend. Great app.

Beautiful photos. Curated lists from FRIENDS. Fine the best bites, drinks, and sites quick and easy. Must have for those that travel. Unearth local hot spots with a tap and a swipe. Do it.

After I transferred all of my Lists from I was happy to delete Yelp

Gorgeous app with high utility.

I live in Ohio. According to this application, there are only 3 places to get food in Columbus.

You have to sign up with email or Facebook even to just browse places near you. Instant delete.

Most of the recommended places listed for Malta are in the wrong places. Some places are identified in nonsensical places, such as Gzira, Valletta its the same as saying Los Angeles, New York. Complete waste of time this app.

So this would make sense if you could add spots and be used for actually discovery. As it stands it appears that this small lists in a few areas (aka oversized cities) of trendy spots that ignores large swathes. Look at the fact that Kansas City which is a smaller large city only has 14 spots. Ill have to follow up in a couple months to see if its fixed.

The visuals give you a much better feel for the spot than anything else, and its so much easier to create lists and mark places you want to go.

I love how all my favorite places pop up, as well as a few nice surprises.

Unneeded permission request. While using the app, sure. Uninstalled until fixed.

nice layout, beautiful experience. this app is going to become the go to tool for travel. what we always love and seek out is unique experiences, and having recommendations from people we know and trust can make all the difference in the world.

A great way to discover hidden gems , amazing design and user interface as well.

Its quick and to the point. Easy to find whats around you. I like the one click to food, coffee drinks. Looking forward to seeing more locations added.
